Materials scientist and active investor in early-stage companies. Sylvia has founded and taken two companies to ASX listing and held government advisory roles across renewable energy and manufacturing.

Michael has worked in the energy and resources sector for three decades and is a serial entrepreneur. In 2009, he founded Mt Rosey Mining Company and commenced exploration for critical minerals in Queensland, and acquired the Lava Plains mining lease which hosts the raw materials from which Lava Blue first produced HPA.

Uwe is a career lawyer and a Fellow of FINSIA, as well as an early-stage angel investor in numerous start-up companies. He is the former Chair of ASX-listed Xtek Limited.

Michael has 25 years’ experience in commodity trading, working closely with Australian agricultural producers, waste management and recycling specialists, logistics providers, and end-users across Asia, the Middle East and the Subcontinent.

James holds several Non-Executive directorships and provides contract CFO services and strategic advice to fast-growing entrepreneurial companies. For the past three years, he has served as CFO at Seeing Machines.

Matt has more than four decades of international leadership and operations experience in base and precious metals smelting. His most recent role was Chief Executive Officer - Nyrstar Australia and prior to that was CEO Tomago Aluminium. He is a non-executive Director of MCi Carbon (Newcastle).

David brings a wealth of project management delivery and senior stakeholder relationship management and is responsible for Lava Blue corporate operations.

Dom has more than 15 years of R&D experience in the energy, materials and minerals processing sectors, primarily focused on transitioning new technologies from laboratory research to pilot and pre-commercial demonstration. Prior to his current role at Lava Blue, Dom spent nine years at QUT as a research project manager with a strong focus on industry engagement.

Brian is PhD-qualified geologist with significant national reputation and working experience in North West Qld mineral province.

Des has worked in the mining and resources industry for more than three decades and has a wealth of knowledge in mineral processing equipment design, procurement and installation.

Louis is a Chemical Process Engineer with 7 years of experience across design, research, and operational roles. He specialises in alumina refining methods from both conventional and alternative waste feedstocks.

Noven is recognised for delivering secure, reliable digital services with a strong focus on innovation, practical outcomes and risk-aware decision making. He combines hands-on technical leadership with a business-first approach.
