Lava Blue has HPA Licensee agreements with Queensland Pacific Metals Ltd (QPM.AX) and Vecco Group. Lava Blue is completing testing and pilot work at PRiSM as conditions precedent to full technology licences to use Lava Blue’s IP on alumina rich waste streams.
QPM
Queensland Pacific Metals Ltd is constructing a $2 billion Townsville TECH project to produce nickel, cobalt, magnesium, and high purity alumina. The company has established agreements with LG, POSCO, and General Motors for investment and product off-take. HATCH Engineering is designing the HPA production plant, targeting a capacity of 4,000 tonnes per year. Production is slated to start in the 2025-26 financial year.
VECCO
Vecco Group Ltd is developing a vanadium and high purity alumina (HPA) production facility at Julia Creek and has established Australia's first vanadium electrolyte factory in Townsville. The company anticipates starting HPA production in the 2025-26 financial year, aiming for an annual peak output of 4,000 tonnes.
Critical Minerals Group
Critical Minerals Group has entered into a license agreement with Lava Blue to enhance processing technology and establish a High Purity Alumina production line at its Lindfield Vanadium Project. This flagship initiative is situated 30km from Julia Creek in Northwest Queensland.
Other
Other listed companies in active discussion, test work already commenced for two. Target is to have 25,000tpa of licensed production by end of 2025.
